leaves very little available to change, but the colors, which I did.

So where to add something uniquely “me” ? Ahh… the quilt back, normally an afterthought, now becomes a blank canvas…

I’m working backwards again, piecing parts of the quilt back before I’ve even started the front. The cutting of this quilt gave me a lot of leftovers.

I’m sure most if you know about the adding machine tape method of scrap-busting, so I won’t go into it here. It’s basically sewing scraps onto the tape and trimming. The only issue I encountered was, like when you are a kid and learning to spell “banana”, I didn’t quite know when to stop.

That’s how I’ve ended up with an improv insert for the back that is too long to get a full picture of. But see below…
